We would like to be able to create a public space to be used for everyday tasks such as cooking and eating, as well as to be able to host parties. The current thought is to create a Thieves' Den in the style of an English pub, using car port pieces and walls that could be decorated to look like a half-timbered building. Eventuallly, it would be nice for the walls and roof to be made of canvas, so that they could be painted and would have a higher quality finish to them. However, in the short term, it is likely that tarps will be used, since they are so much cheaper than canvas. An additional consideration is size. Eventually a 20' by 30' space would be great. However, scaling down to a 20' by 20' for now, using tarps, would provide multiple options for scale in the future if we then purchased additional structural pieces and canvas for a 20' by 30' version.
