Oh what a day it was. We rolled in and set up when it was brought to my attention that one of our members had let their auth card expire. Proper measures were taken to ensure the lesson was taught, with the kingdom rapier champion serving as a delightful (at least for the audience) auth partner. After that Brian Carlson nicely swept up the unscarved tourney, with David Bennett coming in a close second. From there we moved on to the "Gentlemans" tourney where Marie la Fauconniere had the best moustache of the day (and with Gwynneth Verch Ieuan sporting quite the beard), where Bennett came in a strong third.
After we came back from lunch, we started the C&T tourney where Logos won, and in the process cut my bronze ring off. Once I had picked up the pieces it was time for some zombie melee with Kinji winning the first round, followed by Her Majesty winning the second.
Eventually it was time for court where we rounded the day out nicely. I, in particular, had fun watching Brian Carlson getting called down from the dais he was already standing on to receive both his AoA and his Cavendish Knot. Finally, court ended with Terry getting called in to be put on vigil for the Order of the Laurel, which he will be elevated to come Maidens. There were a few other surprises, but we'll keep those hush hush for now.
